A Tribal Youth Training Centre (Vivekananda Vanvasi Yuva Prashikshan Kendra) trains 24 tribal youths ( who have passed 12th Class) to serve as health workers, horticulture instructors or to get self-employed in various streams like carpentry, printing, tailoring, motor repairing and driving, welding, electric wiring etc.
The Narainpur Ashrama has opened various new opportunities for the tribal youth by setting up the Vivekananda Vanvasi Yuva Prasikshan Kendra, a residential training unit specially designed for the youth who are willing to take up new career demands in various fields.
In order to serve the daily needs of all those students the ashram has built a mega kitchen and a bakery within its premises. It serves a large number of people every day. Employing an exceptional cooking method processing food grown from the farm cultivated within the ashram premises. This mega kitchen is equipped with modern cooking technologies where solar power is used in the preparation of food instead of natural gas
To curb Economic Exploitation the Ashrama manages a Fair Price Shop complex in Narainpur with 5 Branches in Abujhmarh villages. These FPS outlets provide the ration to the tribal at reasonable rates. These shops which keep sufficient stocks during rainy season when the entire Abujhmarh remains cut off from the rest of the world, prove to be a boon to the villagers.Five fair price shops have also been set up in the interior villages of Abujhmarh to meet their basic needs and more importantly at the right price.
The library is the heart of any educational institution .The basement of the temple accommodates a library cum free reading room helping the children to expand their horizons .It consists of thirteen thousand eight hundred and sixty four books catering to the needs of the students of all the age groups in the ashram .It has a collection of ancient Vedic texts helping the students stay rooted to our native system and values .A Pictorial Exhibition on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda provides ample knowledge about the divine lives of the Holy Trio. Ramakrishna-Vivekananda-Vedanta Literature is available for sale through the Book Sales Section.
The ashram also has a Gaushala providing protective shelter for the cows and takes good care of their overall well-being. The Gaushala has a total of 16 employees working in three different shifts. The milk from these cows are provided to the students and the staff working in the ashrama. To curb economic exploitation of the tribal villagers and to provide the people with adequate stock of their day to day needs.
